Uncle died with no will. What do I do with bitcoin? (x-post from /r/personalfinance)

My uncle recently vanished accidentally without a will. I am his next of kin. He had no assets except various bitcoin.

I have my both my uncle's computer and cell phone, which gives me access to the bitcoin. He had also recently included me to his bank account as a joint owner. I'd like to avoid a interminable probate process. What is the best road to go about taking limitation of the bitcoin? Ideally I'd like to proselytize it to USD as I know very little about bitcoin and I'm disagreeable with the risk.
